OUR CURRENT EVENTS
The Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Trust is celebrating our 5 year anniversary!
A message from the Trust Board President
Dear Patrons and Donors:
As we approach the end of the year, we reflect with gratitude on the many ways our library has served the community—offering access to books, technology, learning programs, and a welcoming space for all.
This work is only possible through the generous support of donors like you. Your year-end gift can help us continue expanding various collections, upgrade resources, and provide vital programs for children, teens, and adults.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a lasting impact, particularly in these challenging times. You can also become a monthly donor so your gift continues to give throughout the year. Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized on our Donor Wall at the Glendale Central Library. Below is a testimonial from a student who uses the library adaptive Arts Program:
“The Adaptive Arts Program is truly a wonderful program here at the Glendale Library Arts and Culture. Through these monthly events, over twenty adults with developmental disabilities express their artistic sides through thoroughly planned and designed crafting materials, something rarely accessible to those who can truly benefit from this. Self-expression is one of the main ways people can truly show their true personalities. Unfortunately, those who experience developmental disabilities have a harder time showing who they really are. So, we believe that by helping to support the Adaptive Arts program, many people will be given the opportunity to convey their own identities in ways regarding the use of artistry.” – GLACT Student Ambassador
In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the Trust support positively impacted all branches of Glendale libraries, including support for:
- Over 1,700 On-Site and In-Person programming for kids and their families which resulted in an attendance of 52,691 people at all the programs
- Usage of Children’s Space was up by 187% since opening in November 2024
- ReflectSpace included 11,671 people attending different exhibits in 2024-2025
- Total in person visitors across all 8 branches equaled 643,393 visits
Please consider making a tax-deductible gift before December 31, 2025 to help us start the new year strong. If you are already making a monthly donation, or have recently sent in your donation, we thank you for the support.
There are multiple ways to make a donation (online, via regular mail, etc). Take a few minutes to visit our website (www.glact.org) and click “Donate” on the main page or scan the QR code on the reverse side. Or detach and return the form at the bottom of this flyer for check or credit card donations.
Thank you for believing in the power of Glendale public libraries to educate, inspire, and connect.
